Applying the Edges in Corel Photo-Paint
Corel Photo-Paint Version 9 and above:
1. Open a photo file in Corel Photo-Paint.2. Select Frame... from the Creative sub menu of the Effects menu.
3. In the Frame dialog select the first entry in the list box to the left of the preview and press the ... button.
4. In the File dialog select an edge from the Edge & Frame Galaxy product and press ok.
5. Select your prefered settings in the second tab of the Frame dialog.
6. Finally press Ok to apply the edge to the photo.
Corel Photo-Paint Version 8 and below:
I. The Easy Way
1. Open a photo file in Corel Photo-Paint.2. Select Load | From Disc in the Mask menu.
3. In the displayed file dialog select a edge file from the edge sub folder.
4. After the mask is displayed on the photo, press Ctl + I (Macintosh: Option key + I) to invert the mask.
5. Select Fill from the Edit menu and in the displayed dialog choose a fill color, gradient or texture.
6. Finally press OK.
II. The Advanced Way
1. Open a photo file in Corel Photo-Paint.2. Open a edge file from the edge sub folder.
3. Choose "Create New Image" from the Image menu and enter the dimensions of the photo file to adapt the size of the edge to the size of the photo.
4. Press Ctl +Shift + A (Macintosh: Option key + Shift + A) to select the whole edge, press Ctl + C (Macintosh: Option key + C) to copy the edge to the clipboard.
5. Activate the photo window and press Ctl + V (Macintosh: Option key + V) to paste the edge over the photo.
6. Choose Object Properties from the Object menu and select Multiply from the Merge combo box of the displayed dialog.
7. After pressing OK, the photo will be visible through the edge.
8. To smoothen the edge border apply Blur | Gaussian Blur from the Effect menu.
9. Press Ctl + Shift + Cursor Down (Macintosh: Option key + Shift + Cursor Down) to combine the edge and photo.
